Have you ever wished all those doodles and diary entries in your notebook would magically just appear on your screen, in digital form? Moleskine is making it happen.



The company just launched a new product for those of us who like to keep it old school and take notes with a pen and paper, but also want the convenience of having those thoughts and doodles in digital form. The $200 Smart Writing Set, available now, has three parts: the Paper Tablet, Moleskine Pen+, and a companion app for iOS or Android.



With these tools, you can take notes by hand when inspiration strikes, and then quickly digitize them for easy editing on your phone or laptop.



"Jot down your to-do list in your Paper Tablet notebook on your way to work, send the page to the app, and edit the list as you complete your tasks from your smartphone or tablet," Moleskine said.



Transferring your notes to digital form also makes them easy to store and share. You can, for instance, take notes during a meeting then quickly send them to your colleagues as a PDF attachment, or jot down a doodle and share it with others as an image file.



The Smart Writing Set lets you store your ideas as handwriting, or transform them into digital text so you can quickly search, copy, and edit them. All notes and sketches are stored in the free Moleskine Notes app for iPhone or Neo Notes for Android.



The Paper Tablet comes with special paper designed to work with the Pen+ in a dotted layout. The Pen+ can recognize where it is in the Paper Tablet, and capture each stroke as you jot down notes and doodles. When you're ready, just tap the envelope icon on the page to digitize your note.



The set is available for purchase on Moleskine's website and also comes with USB cable to recharge your pen, plus one ink tip refill.
